The About.com network has added a new feature. Called "User Answers," it opens the door to readers who have advice, hints, ideas, reviews or tips to share on specific topics. In the autism community, parents who have "been there and done that" often know more than the experts; in short, your advice to others living with autism can be incredibly valuable.
With that in mind, I've created User Answer modules on a wide range of topics (and there will be many more to come). Here are the questions I'm posing as a start: can you offer hints, tips or resources related to...
- Coping with a New Autism Diagnosis
- Toilet Training a Child with Autism
- How to Get the Best Education for Your Child with Autism
- How to Explain Your Child's Asperger Syndrome to Strangers
- Autism and Air Travel
To add your tips, hints and resources, click on the link above and fill in the form with your answer. I'll need to "moderate" responses, so it may take a day for your ideas to appear on the site. Thanks in advance!
