New Articles on Autism.About.Com Explore Mitochondrial Disease and Autism
Thursday March 20, 2008
Last week, the Vaccine Court awarded significant compensation to the Poling family. According to the ruling, vaccines exacerbated their daughter's underlying mitochondrial disease - causing "autism-like" symptoms. This finding has raised parents' concerns, and created a bit of a panic. What if more cases of autism were caused, in part, by a mitochondrial disorder? True, the disorder appears to be very rare, but journalist David Kirby claims that it's far more common among people with autism.
So... what is mitochondrial disease? What do we know about its links to autism and vaccines?

I would need more proof by another reporter.
David Kirby reporting is often sloppy even if he had absolute proof people who have knowledge of health and science will have trouble believing it.
He has stated that asperger’s syndrome was once called idiot savants and that Autism doesn’t exist that it’s really a disease called E.N.D.
Do take a look at the articles. They don’t use Kirby as a source — you’ll find quite a few actual resource studies cited.

I did read the articles Mitochondrial disease has a very specific inheritance and a link to Autism would have been discovered already. The CDDC said they might have aggregated the disorder but they couldn’t have caused the disorder. Mitochondrial is actually genetic where you only inherit your mom. You cannot get it from a shot and it is not found in more autistic children than not.
She had from what I hear 9 vaccines no one get’s in a day.
I menat inherit from your mom.
The child got 9 vaccinations in one visit NOT 9 seperate shots. DTP is equal to 3 vaccines at one time such as MMR is 3 vaccines. I also believe the child got a flu shot in that “visit” and her 2nd chicken pox does…etc.
I feel that a fraction of our kids who are on the spectrum, like people who are predispoded to diabetes, cancer, obesiety etc……are being over exposed to vaccines in too short of a time. Look at the percentages…growing up in the 1980s I recieved just 10 childhood vaccines kids now get up to 38.
Too many in too short of time.
