Great IEP Resource

Friday April 28, 2006
It's that time of year -- time for parents with special needs children to convene a meeting to review their child's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Of course, there are terrific IEP resources on this topic available on the About.com Special Education Site . In addition, though, parents should really check out this National Institute on Low Incidence Disabilities page which offers quick, "stop-'em-dead" answers to educators who want to limit your child's services or opportunities!

That IEP resource with quick answers is a lifesaver. I plan on taking it to my child’s IEP meeting next week. Thanks!

The quick, “stop-em-dead answers” link doesn’t work in your article “Great IEP Resource”. Also, is there an e-mail address for Kate?

It looks like they removed the pop-up question/answer tool right after I posted this blog! Here’s a page that has the content, though: http://www.ncld.org/content/view/974/456131/. I’ll change this in the blog, too!
