Celebrating Easter and Passover with Your Autistic Family Member

Wednesday April 12, 2006
What could be more anxiety-producing than bringing your autistic child to Easter Mass? Maybe it's having Aunt Rose tell your autistic child that it's his turn to read from the Haggadah during the Passover Seder!

If you're like many families living with autism, your relationship to relligious institutions has changed. But that doesn't mean your need for a religious community has disappeared.

The Autism Society of America has put together a page to help families cope with the stress of religious holidays. You might also want to take a look at this article on my site for additional resources and information.
