TV Characters with Autism

By September 10, 2010

Special Needs Parenting Guide Teri Mauro just published a fun article on TV characters with autism.  She's looking for readers to add to the list; I'd like to mention a diagnosis of autism on the comedy "Scrubs."  In this episode, irascible Dr. Cox must tell his good buddy that his toddler (who is focused on building and rebuilding the same complex block structure) is almost certainly autistic.

Take a look at the list for yourself - then, if you like, suggest a character who is (or should be) diagnosable with an autism spectrum disorder!

I’m 98 percent sure that Dr. House has Asperger’s.

We have a four year old son with autism that likes to disrobe and play in his diaper. We invented The Wonder Jumper: a very soft 100% cotton sleeper that zips in the back. http://www.ikidsfashion.com thanks a lot !
