Lenny Shafer, publisher of daily Shafer Report roundup of autism news, also publishes a monthly autism calendar. This very useful product is provided free of charge to the autism community, and lists events by state and country.
Today, the calendar includes a special link to the Autism Awareness Day calendar, covering dozens of events in countries around the world. Of course, the lion's share of events are taking place in the US, Canada and the UK. But there are listings for happenings in every continent of the world. The headline events on April 2-3, sponsored by Autism Speaks, will take place at the United Nations in New York. The event will feature a screening of Autism the Musical, a lecture by Temple Grandin and more.
