That was so beautiful.
I started crying as soon as I saw his Mom cry… I could understand exactly what she was feeling. What impressed me most was not that the kid could sing, but his being completely at ease on stage, and answering all those questions (some very difficult ones) from the judges in such a nice manner. You can tell he’s autistic by the “sing-songy” way he talks and because he looks much younger than 9 years old (from an OT standpoint), so it’s not like someone can say he “lost the diagnosis”. So his story gives me a lot of hope for my son.
Wow. I cried with tears of happiness watching this kid sing and talk to the judges. It gives me hope for my son, who did talk on time, but got diagnosed with autism later once he started preschool. My son likes to draw a lot and is pretty good for being so young (5 years old). (His dad went to art school and loved to draw as a kid too.) So, if he decides to continue his interest in drawing and art, I will be behind him 100%!
He gets my vote!
I thought David was wonderful. My son is also autistic and singing is his passion. I remember him singing even when he stopped talking. When he regained some of his verbal skills the singing continued. He loves to sing “Beautiful” by James Blunt. I had to put it on YouTube so that my family and friends could see him sing. Keep it up David, you are very sweet!!
wow, are the differences really so huge? this kid reminds me of my son who is 7 and very musical, verbal, composed. Honestly, maybe I am just used to him but david did not seem THAT different to me.
God bless you David! Autistic children are God’s gift to all of us. My grandson, Jordan also has Autism, and it gives me much needed hope for his future.
