Lost Man with Autism Found - Alive and Unharmed
Just hours before authorities and family members were to make a gut-wrenching decision Sunday night about whether to scale down a search for a 25-year-old autistic man who disappeared from a western Wisconsin camp more than a week ago, they got astounding news.Congratulations to the Kennedy family, and to all the rescue workers and volunteers who have worked through sleepless nights to find Keith! Two St. Paul firefighters had found Keith Kennedy, severely dehydrated and covered with sores and ticks, lying near a creek in a wooded area roughly a mile west of Trade Lake Camp, said Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland. The area was being searched for the fourth time when Kennedy was found.

I am glad that he was found.
This poor mom. I watched Saturday night on the news how Sunday was the last day of the search, and the mom said words more or less accepting the worst. I cant imagine her thoughts that night. Her face was so sad.
Then her face the night they found her son, she was the happiest mom there could be. It’s nothing but a miracle this man was out in the elements for a week, needing anti rejection meds and he was found alive. I am so happy there was a great ending to this story.
But, I have never sent my son to any sort of camp and this may be one reason why I will not. I am not so sure I could ever entrust my child to other people like a camp and think that my son would not be lost. I know many families of all kinds of kids send them to camp and nothing ever bad happens. I just never could.
