Who would take an autistic child to an art museum? As it turns out, we would! In fact, we drove all the way from Philadelphia to New York City just to take part in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Discovery Program. It's an awe-inspiring experience to watch a group of developmentally disabled kids and adults taking part in a gallery tour...sketching from original canvasses...and having a terrific time at one of the world's great art museums.
